Price Quote

Price Quote refers to the last price level at which a stock has traded. In other words, it represents the price point at which investors can buy or sell a stock. A quotation is also closely associated with high, low, open, and close values.

The price quote essentially represents two pieces of information: the bid and ask price. The bid price is defined as the highest price the buyer is eager to pay for the stock, while the ask is the lowest price a seller is willing to accept for selling. The difference between two prices is known as the “spread.”
